Literature Text

You walked to Jumin's residence, asking if the corporate heir was in his quarters before entering the elevator and going up the floors of the building. Your hands clenched in fists as you sighed, concluding that despite the prolonged ride you were getting more nervous by the second. You took out your phone and unlocked it, deciding to read the messages the guys had sent you barely an hour ago. The screen lit up and you pressed the messenger app, quickly starting to browse the messages in the chat room - probably for the fifth time in the last half an hour.

707, Yoosung, ZEN, Searan, (Y/N)

Zen: Hey everyone~

(Y/N): Hi, guys. How are you all? Have you eaten already?

707: Look who's asking me, God Seven, that. What about you, starve-girl? You've been so overwhelmed you forgot to eat properly for a third week in a roll.

Yoosung: Seven that's not nice at all! (Y/N)'s not at fault for what happened with Jumin.

Saeran: If I may say so I think (Y/N) is doing well enough even if her eating schedule went off the line.

707: Yeah, everybody listen to my little bro here! How are you, though, (Y/N)?

ZEN: I heard you were finally going to confront him about it.

(Y/N): I'm not sure I should, though.

Yoosung: Why not?

(Y/N): ... it's not my business after all. Jumin's personal life I mean.

707: But you still want to be apart of it~

ZEN: SEVEN SHUT UP, WHAT IF THAT JERK DECIDES TO READ THE MESSAGES NOW?!

Yoosung: YEAH, SEVEN BE MORE CONSIDERATE TOWARDS (Y/N)'S SECRECY!

Saeran: I'm not on anybody's side, but I think the caps-lock guys are right.

707: SAERAN?! I'm being betrayed by my own flesh and blood?! My dearest of all people on this world?! My little brother?!

Saeran: ...

ZEN: ;;;

Yoosung: ;;; seconded

707: I still remember the times I helped you steal food from MY OWN fridge, the times you stole my precious milk in the middle of the night---

Saeran: That was yesterday.

707: BUT STILL! What about that time I hung the mistletoe upon your head so you could kiss (Y/N)? Isn't that a favour enough?

ZEN: It was just to make the jerk jealous anyway.

Yoosung: I always thought it was an accident.

(Y/N): ... ;;;

ZEN: So Seven supposedly tripped over thin air and threw the mistletoe right on top of Saeran's head, then pushed (Y/N) towards him and you call that an accident? Yoosung, you're way too naive. Even for your age.

707: ... or stupid.

Saeran: I'm leaving the chatroom if you intend to continue being like this, Saeyoung.

707: You have already betrayed me anyway! Go away now and let me mourn over my loss!

Yoosung: I think this took an unexpected turn.

(Y/N): ... I'm agreeing with Yoosung.

ZEN: And I'm supporting (Y/N) in her agreement.

Saeran: Let us get back on topic.

ZEN: Right. Yes, about the visit?

(Y/N): I'm intending to go, but I can't help being afraid of what can happen once I get there.

707: Yeah, well, in the worst case scenario Jumin is banging his soon-to-be-wife on the kitchen counter so he has no time to open the door but you hear it anyway.

Yoosung: @///@

ZEN: SEVEN SHUT YOU MOUTH RIGHT THIS INSTANT, DON'T YOU SEE (Y/N) IS TRYING HERE?!

Saeran: Never thought I'd say this, but you just became times more digusting than usual, Saeyoung.

(Y/N): No, guys it's fine really. I just feel like Jumin would be offended if we talk behind his back is all.

Saeran: Are you really sure you're okay?

Yoosung: Yeah, I feel as if Seven discouraged you. DON'T WORRY YOU'LL MANAGE TO ACHIEVE YOUR GOAL NO MATTER THE CIRCUMSTANCES! I'M SURE OF IT!

ZEN: Yes, (Y/N). Believe in yourself some more, I'm sure Seven is just in jerk-mode right now or something. He doesn't mean harm.

707: I'm really sorry~ I didn't think it through well enough. Me and Saeran support you unconditionally, though!

Saeran: ... what he said. (Y/N) don't be sad. It's gonna be okay.

ZEN: And if that rich jerk decides to hurt your feelings or mess up in a way---

ZEN: Even if he just partially insults you or says something out of line - let me know and I'm gonna come over to slap a bitch.

(Y/N): Zen that is not needed...

Yoosung: OHHH, ZEN IS GONNA SLAP A BITCH! lolol AWESOME! lololol

Saeran: I feel like this text didn't come from the correct person.

(Y/N): Saeran, you felt it too?

Yoosung: What do you mean?

707: ANYWAYS! ZEN IS ACTING LIKE THE PROTECTIVE ELDER BROTHER KIND OF AND WE'RE ALL SUPPORTERS OF THE (Y/N) CAUSE! I wish you luck for now, I'm gonna get going.

(Y/N): If you'd do me the honor, Saeyoung, I'll be off first. See you later, guys.

707: Good luck.

Yoosung: Break a leg.

Saeran: That's what you say in theatre ;;; Anyways, I hope it goes well.

ZEN: Tell me if the jerk does something wrong and I'm coming immeditely, don't worry.

(Y/N): Thanks, everyone.

The ring of the elevator doors alerted you of their opening. Your phone was quickly put away as you advanced toward the apartment, sure that Jumin would be there. You didn't know what to expect, though. You didn't feel as confident once you heard the heels of your shoes echo upon their impact with the floor. However, just before you could panic and run back to the elevator, the door of Jumin's penthouse opened and let you witness something you wished you never saw. Jumin's lips melded together with Sarah's as she gripped his shoulders and he wrapped his strong arms around her waist. You saw them press together as their tongues intertwined, the sight making the unexistent lunch you'd eaten that day make its way up your throat.

Your heart clenched in your ribcage but you were unable to move, frozen on the very spot your feet stood at. Your eyes were wide and blank (almost surprisingly lacking tears), your mouth was dry and the knot in your throat prevented you from choking on the sobs that wanted to come out. You'd realised Jumin wasn't yours to claim long ago and you'd come to terms with it, but this--- this was too much for you to handle calmly.

Finally when Sarah's lips parted from Jumin's, she kissed his cheek sweetly and waved as he wished her goodbye. She started walking towards the elevator, her gaze meeting yours in a smug look full of satisfaction. She flipped her red hair and you could feel the air tingle with her confidence in constrast with your own state of horror as she walked by - it was like a chemical reaction including the wrong ingredients on its way to explode.

However, the explosion never occured.

The red-haired passed you with a casual strut and a smirk, confidence oozing from her walk. It made your eyebrows furrow in a bitter expression as you suppressed the tears in your eyes.

"(Y/N)? Is something the matter?" Jumin's voice brought you out of your trance and you looked at him. He was in the process of fixing his crooked, loose tie and unsuccessfully trying to hide the traces of bright red lipstick Sarah had left all over his mouth, jaw and neck. You gulped at the sight while walking closer to the door, your face fighting the disgusted expression that wanted to make itself seen before you nodded. You looked down at your feet, giving Jumin time to wipe off the lipstick marks with a napkin.

"I just wanted to see how you are. I..." Your gaze flickered from the floor to the wall as you concluded that it was better to tell him now rather than keep it to yourself forever. "I have something I want to tell you."

"Well, I do have a few minutes left before the next meeting regarding the wedding - I think I can listen to what you have to say." The dark-haired man said while turning around with the intent of making his way back to the insides of his penthouse before you stopped him.

"J-Jumin, it'll take just a few seconds. I don't think I should come inside." You mumbled nervously and stood before the doorstep as if it wouldn't let you pass even if you wanted to. Jumin turned around with a cocked eyebrow before nodding and making his way back to you at the door.

"I'm listening then."

"Well, I've wanted to tell you for a long time and I don't require a reply, just acknowledgement on the matter." You looked up into his eyes, taking a second to settle your internal conflict before inhaling and breathlessly pronouncing the words you thought you'd be able to keep to yourself forever. "I love you, Jumin." Your eyes quickly averted to the floor afterwards, not wanting to witness his reaction.

"You say you don't want a reply, yet I will give you one."

You felt a small glimmer of hope make its way into your mind as you looked up at him. His eyes were cold and emotionless, his lips pursed and you realised it a bit too late---

"I will never love you back."

It wasn't the kind of reply you would've hoped for.

"I love Sarah, she's my bride-to-be, and currently I feel like you're trying to ruin my engagement. At least the convenience of talking in front of the door was a thing you were right about." Jumin's cold words hit you like bricks and the only thing you could do for the next few seconds was stare at the door of the penthouse getting slammed in your face. You couldn't process your own emotions for a short period of time before your eyes filled up with tears and you could feel the sobs crawling up your throat.

The first thing you did was pull your phone out of your pocket. You quickly went through your contacts, dialing the person you thought would comfort you best at the moment. Your tears fell on the screen while your trembling fingers held the phone and waited for the person to pick up. When the fateful beep resonated in the hallway you lifted the phone to your ear and made your way to the elevator with small limping steps.

"(Y/N)? You called fast. Is something the matter?" Zen asked worriedly and you tried to force a smile on your lips in vain. You leaned on the wall after pressing the button for the elevator, tears spilling out of yours eyes much like a waterfall.

"H-Hyun..." Your broken voice was cut off by the immense amount of your sobs that came after his name and the albino immediately knew that something bad had happened.

"Oh my God. (Y/N), what happened?" He asked warily and just as worriedly. You sniffled as few times and entered the elevator before trying to fake a laugh. Needless to say it was futile.

"Things... d-didn't go that well."

...

Your eyes fluttered open with urgency as you lay in bed sweating and almost experiencing convulses. You touched your cheeks, feeling the wetness of the tears streaming down your face. You blinked a few times and lifted a hand in the air in front of your blurry vision, witnessing the way your fingers were trembling in the dark. You slowly sat up in your cold bed, wondering what had happened and what was real. Had this been a dream or just a memory of something recent?

You were racking with sobs despite the fact you felt somewhat calm on the inside, obviously it was something like a leftover shock. You pulled at your hair in slight panic once you realised you didn't remember the events of the past few days, which just resulted in you whimpering as you swayed back and forth in some sort of comforting state. You quickly reached for your phone on the nightstand, dialing the only person you could think of who could verify whether you'd been dreaming or not. The man on the other line was unpleasantly surprised to hear your sobs once he'd picked up.

"Jumin, are you engaged to Sarah? Do you love me?" You cried into the speaker with panic, making the male even more worried than he already was. You heard the bedcovers' on his side ruffling as he sat up in bed.

"(Y/N)? What happened for you to talk like that? Sarah's long gone and I can't think of a reason not to love you all of a sudden. What's wrong?" The dark-haired man asked over the phone as you tried to calm yourself down, but it just resulted in you almost choking mid-sob.

"N-No... I just had a terrible dream. Jumin, please tell me you won't leave me, I mean I know she's better anyway, but I just need to hear it once to feel a bit better and I'll stop bething yo---"

"Sarah's gone, (Y/N). I don't know what made you think she was better than you, but I you're not brothering me and I won't ever leave you, alright? Never." He reassured you, but worry was evident in his voice as you silently processed his words. "Who cares about the speed limit in the middle of the night, goddamnit?! Speed up." You briefly heard Jumin snap at his driver, quickly realising that he was in his limousine.

"J-Jumin, you aren't really---"

"Yes, I am coming to see you, (Y/N). I'll be there in a minute or so, just hold the phone close to you and talk to me." He was back to his composed self, but literally so gentle and caring that you couldn't wish for more. You smiled slightly while getting up from the bed and making your way into the kitchen with wobbly legs. You started wiping away your tears and poured yourself a glass of water, your breathing still ragged from all the sobbing.

"Jumin, I'm going to be fine. It was just a dream anyway, I don't want to bother you." You didn't deserve him anyway, so the least you could do was stop being a burden. However, he had other plans.

"I don't care if it was a dream or not, (Y/N). I'm already at the front door, open for me." Panting was heard from his end of the line and you rushed to the door of your flat, hastily fiddling with the lock. Once the door had opened you were pleasantly surprised by Jumin's strong arms wrapping around you.

You still had the phone at your ear when he hugged you, so the only way to lift the emotional atmosphere was to whisper a small 'hi' in the speaker. Surprisingly his own phone was still in his hand, so the dark-haired chuckled weakly at your behaviour. He parted from you to close the door behind himself while you hung up and put your phone in the pocket of the coat on the hanger by the entrance.

"What do you even dream of?" Jumin asked once he'd took his place in front of you once more, observing your bloodshot eyes and messy (h/c) hair.

"Well, in my dream... you and Sarah were about to get married and when I..." Your voice was hoarse as you trailed off and looked at the floor.

"And?"

"... when I told you I loved you, you replied that you'd never love me back." You sniffled slightly. "I-I know it's stupid. I didn't want you to come here because of it, I just wanted to make sure it wasn't real and---"

"(Y/N)." Jumin called your name, making you face him with slight uncertainty. When you looked up at his eyes you were able to tell that he was trying to decipher how to make you feel secure again.

"I would never do that. I'd never love Sarah, I'd never think of marrying her and most of all I'd never become foolish enough to tell you anything like that." He stated gently and his hands grasped your sides quickly. You gasped when he pulled you towards himself, giving him a chance to peck your forehead lovingly. "I love you."

You closed your eyes, enjoying the caress of his hands wiping away the tear stains from your cheeks. A smile danced across your lips as Jumin continued telling you how much he loved you, every new line being accompanied by a new kiss. The dark-haired male held your face softly and spoke reassuring words into your ears until you completely forgot about the nightmare.

Jumin slowly led you away to the bedroom, not once stopping his comforting ritual as he made you lie down. Soon, he climbed on top of you and claimed your lips with urgency. You reciprocated the kiss hastily as your hands tangled in his silky locks and tugged on them when he'd find it right to slide his hands down your body. You found yourself moaning at times even though Jumin was yet to touch you as intimately. He broke the kiss slowly and looked into your eyes, expecting of you to say something as if being able to tell you wanted to.

"Would you want to change something? Maybe if you married somebody or if we never went out, you'd be in a better relationship, calmer and happier. I know I'm a burden, by being insecure about everything I add to your stress because if you don't assure me otherwise you feel guilty. I suppose it's annoying. I'm also not rich or that pretty, outstanding as a whole. Please, answer me honestly - would you rather have something else, better than this here?"

Jumin was stunned for a few seconds before the look in his eyes softened and he smiled. "(Y/N), wouldn't trade you for anything in the world. You make me happy by being you, no matter if you're insecure or you're not outstanding, it's what you are. And I love everything you are." He embraced you, pressing a kiss to your lips before locking gazes with your (e/c) eyes.

"You're the best thing that's ever happened to me." You whispered while staring at his mesmerizing orbs and listening to the ring of his chuckle right after. He kissed you again before giving you a playful smirk.

"That's my line there, love."
Too much feels? Idk, idc. I love you all, but I love it even more when I see you being emotional wrecks after reading something I wrote.
